Prior Lake YMCA (hardwood floors)

This is a YMCA Gym Floor pictured from the start of the project to finish. We started out with laying 4mm poly on the base concrete slab, then we installed one layer of 1/2" thick plywood with rubber legs on the bottom in a straight direction. After that was installed we glued and stapled a second layer of 1/2" thick plywood going at a diagonal to give the floor superior strength and bounce. After the adhesive set we installed a glued down 2nd grade maple block floor and sanded and finished it with a super tough Poloplaz Gym Floor Finish. After the finish dried out we installed a 2.5" Wide Vinyl base with cove base adhesive and gave a beautiful and sparkling gym to the YMCA users.
